Made a century and England won their last series 3-0
Is doing a good job as captain since the dark days of Cook and Moores. The Irishman and the Australian in charge is a massive improvement and England will probably be favourites for the Champions Trophy on home soil.
Not Morgan and Bayliss's home but you know what I mean.

Useless fucker would fit into that team a treat.

Perhaps if their best player wasn't captaining 'England' they might do better.

Are the Irish good at anything other than bombs?

Nabi has just hit 89 off of 29 balls against them.

His previous highest score in 50 games was 52.

That's a 3-0 series win then.

They only have 10 batsman, as their opener Lewis was at hospital the last I heard.

I've watched an ODI at Antigua, back when Gooch was playing

I reckon it was cruise ship docking day.

Been struggling to spot a single black face in the crowd and 80% must be over 60.

Whoever gets the wedge for the game must be fucking loving this with a sell out of honky's and beer and wine sales.

Good stuff, am gagging to do an England tour over there myself.

Hales is normally pretty chilled until he's over 50 and then he unloads.

Big confidence player.

Grumpster, following our exchange the other day lets see what happens in this innings. You said you didn't mind Roy adopting the aggressive approach batting first so him getting out early today will see if our depth in batting holds up as I expect it too. Hales will probably go big now is my guess and Root will do his usual. Be interesting to see how it pans out.

Re: 1st ODI: West Indies v England at North Sound, Antigua
Hales has always been my go to man in all formats Sven.

For some reason I see him as steadier than Roy and basically Root is unbackable with my small wagers, as I won't do anyone lower than 3/1.

I like Roy as a player, he's just a little frustrating.

Shai Hope for the Windies, though he's been wank so far.

Every time Roy gets a start and then goes I think of you Grump.
I hope you are backing him as top scorer at least !

Re: 1st ODI: West Indies v England at North Sound, Antigua
Roy must have a huge percentage of getting out caught.

He hardly ever tries to keep the ball on the floor.

Hales to get a ton today.

England to bat first.

Hales in for Billings.

I would think players would know that you cant consult the dressing room.
Would they try and gain an advantage in the heat of a Test match? Quite possibly

I said that I suspect this does go on from time to time. Because its sport and people try and gain an advantage.
I didn't say Australia haven't done it before. They may well have. I just invited Kohli to point out these two instances in regards to DRS referrals 'while he was batting' that he presents as 'evidence'.
Simple thing .... which batsmen? , which referrals?
Virat ? VIRAT? V-I-R-A-T?

Re: 1st ODI: West Indies v England at North Sound, Antigua
Exactly VH.

Sven, I'm a little confused on where you stand. So Handscomb didn't know it was illegal (absolute bullshit), and has obviously never been involved in a DRS referral before or he would know (again, bullshit) so he suggested Smith check with the dressing room, and Smith, who does know it's illegal, did it for the first time I his career because of a brain fade (bullshit).

And if all teams get the nod from the dressing room, as you suggest, why do you suddenly think that this is completely innocent and that Kohli 's claims are incorrect?

Re: 1st ODI: West Indies v England at North Sound, Antigua
It was clear to me that both players looked for help from the dressing room. I certainly don't believe the bollocks about not knowing it was illegal. I don't play test cricket and I knew that rule.

The umpires were all over it very quickly. Kholi said he'd warned the umps about it happening when Australia were fielding. I only watched day 3, so can't confirm, but the fact Llong moved so quickly says he knew there was trouble up't mill.

Hardly surprising this series is getting a bit lippy now. I wonder if Starc and Ashwin shared a beer afterwards?

Re: 1st ODI: West Indies v England at North Sound, Antigua
Matthew Renshaw?
He was batting with Peter Handscomb who has said he told Smith to look at the dressing room and admitted he didn't know that was illegal.
He does now.
I suspect all teams get the nod from the dressing room sometimes though usually I'd suspect they have to make a call on taking a referral before too many replays are shown.
I'm of the view that the umpires should control DRS and every dismissal should be confirmed as a matter of course.

Still waiting for Virat to tell us about these DRS referrals when 'he was batting'.
Mouthy little cunt has only batted for about half an hour so reviewing the tapes shouldn't take long.
Him apologising might take longer.

Re: 1st ODI: West Indies v England at North Sound, Antigua
It all seemed a bit too well thought out, and certainly looked like Nigel Lloyd was keeping am eye out for it too.

Although, I am surprised he didn't just suggest that Smith could have been looking anywhere.
